Posted on: 19/12/2019Chelmer Valley exceeds target in the Reverse Advent Calendar 2019
Once again this December our students went above and beyond and have been extremely generous donating many many items to the reverse advent calendar. Our students rose to the challenge of bringing in and giving items of food or toiletries during the month of December. Our students have recognised that there are many people in need, particularly at Christmas time who they could help and make a difference to their lives through their donations to the Chelmsford Foodbank. This year we beat the number of items donated last year as we were able to donate 1392 items this year!! 10R were again incredibly generous donating over 500 items, including Izzy Joyce’s individual donation of over 200 items and Sophie McCall in year 9 was also extremely generous donating over 400 items just on her own.
Miss Dawson said, "We are so incredibly grateful to our students and their families, each year they amaze us with their generosity and we are so proud of them and the difference they are making. From all of us at Chelmer thank you so much - you really have made a difference to people struggling this season”.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from everyone at Chelmer Valley.
